Tommy is a boy
he has feelings too,
Even though he doesnt look like either me or you.
See Tommy was born to a girl named Sally,
pregnant at 13 and gave birth in an alley.
But Sally was beaten everyday of her life.
Her only escape was that of a knife.
Now Tommys an orphan and he doesnt know what to do.
Tommy has feelings too.
Jenny is a girl all alone in the street.
Dredded hair good will clothes and no shoes on her feet.
Jenny walks around with flowers in her hair.
She talks to herself and all the people stare.
She has no home cause she cannot pay rent.
Her only shelter is a cardboard box tent.
She sells her poems for a dollar to eat.
Jenny is alone in the street.
Its become
quite evident that people abuse alcohol and drugs to escape the pain in society.
But its obviously not an escape, more of a comfort zone. People dont want to
get out of their comfort zone to fix a situation. Instead they would rather
get unconscious and hope that they will be able to deal with the problems later.
Later comes around and they still havent found their sense of security, belonging,
love. But they do happen to have found $1.89 to go out and buy a 40oz of Steel
Reserve. They do happen to know who has the best buds and isnt too shady. We
shoould look into ourselves to get by. We were created to be able to make choices
so why would we choose to deny ourselves of the right to live naturally.
